Hi Maria.
I can't say what the problem is, but from the description you give I assume that exiftool wasn't able to write to the files. Perhaps they are write protected?

This is my first time using filmtagger 1.7 for Mac. I first open the terminal and type in exiftool to have it running. The I open filmtagger. Under directory, I enter the folder in which the pictures I have are in. After entering the camera, lens, film, and several tags, I press the "Tag Em" button. Then I get the following errors: Exiftool returned with an error/warning: Error: Error creating file
I have Mac OS X version 10.5.8

Somehow the exiftool is not in the path that Filmtagger searches (default path).
I sadly do not know why I doesn't work on your computer.

Hey sorry that I am writing after so many months. I have exiftool installed which runs from command line/terminal.

When i try the same for filmtagger (as suggested by you), it just says command not found.

Any ideas?

Hi.
I have only tried it on 10.4, but 10.5 should not be a problem at all.
Can you try running it from the terminal and see if there is any output?

Just open the terminal and, assuming that you have filmtagger in /Applications you write:
/Applications/Filmtagger.app/Content/MacOS/filmtagger

(this is from memory, so I hope it is correct...)
